Reigate Rugby Football Club has asked MKA Projects Ltd to be Project Managers, Cost Consultants and Designers for the redesign and refurbishment of their existing clubhouse.
The major work on this 521m2 property will be to build a new upstairs balcony by cutting back the existing roof. Additionally a new bar will be installed in one of the first floor function rooms.
The heating and lighting will also be upgraded and the clubhouse will be redecorated throughout, including replacing old carpeting and furnishings.
The rugby club has been raising money to fund this project in order to improve facilities for the members1 and to encourage new members, both playing and social.
Building work is due to commence in March 2005 and is due for completion 12 weeks later. The budget has been set at £130k.
1 The existing bar is not conducive to large social gatherings and some spectators would like to watch the game from indoors on rainy days.
